It’s a NEW Group..!

Welcome to our community! We’re so glad you’re here. I have decided to retool the SAM group strategically to focus on a quality-over-quantity approach to your member experience. This group is for the members!

You’re here because you know that being a Solo Acoustic Musician is a solo endeavor. It is helpful to have a community sounding board to bounce ideas off of to help facilitate individual growth. We’re going to engage with our community productively and turn those conversations into a database of valuable shared knowledge. I’m so looking forward to taking this journey with you!

I created this space to share information and ideas about the SAM lifestyle. It is for members to meet and interact with one another. We have members worldwide, so you will have a built-in international network to share camaraderie and SAM culture.

You can also use this space to post performance and lesson/training videos (limit this so you don’t oversaturate the daily feed), share tips and ideas, ask & answer questions about anything SAM, and get to know each other better!

I started the original group in November of 2021 intending to promote and discuss my book series. It evolved into a community. While I will still share information about my books from time to time, this reinventing of the SAM group is focused on the “Community” and not my books. This group in its conception is for the members to congregate. I will facilitate moderation and while keeping out the “riff-raff” from the start will be important, I will also remove any person who decides to be a major problem for everyone else. Although, I don’t believe that will be much of an issue anymore.

PLEASE NOTE SOME OF OUR COMMUNITY GUIDELINES:
1) This is not a space for flagrant (too much/too often) self-promotion. This includes posting your gig flyers. (Your target fan base isn’t here in the group.) If you would like to share a social media post to ask for feedback (i.e. – “This is my first reel/flyer, how did I do?”) that is permitted. Just keep this in mind and be reasonable with your posts.
2) If you are a social media manager, YOU MAY NOT attempt to solicit business from ANY member of the SAM membership. This will result in immediate termination of membership. For the benefit of our members, only SAM Administrator-approved selling or solicitation of any kind is permitted (including charitable fundraising).
